Bringing a little bit of Zealand to Sealand
An internet group of anonymous fans of Chester City FC are considering forming a syndicate to buy shares in Brøndby IF as part of a reverse purchase campaign against the sale of Chester City.
The news has been brought by various media, among others the Danish football website tipsbladet.dk and fodbold.nu and the English football website www.devachat.com
Once we have completed our takeover, we hope to have moved the club to the English City of Chester by the start of the 2010/11 season. We will remain within the Danish league structure, bringing champions league football to the Deva Stadium. We are in advanced negotiations with Cheshire West and Chester Council and we expect them to accept our generous proposal in the next couple of weeks.
Our firm line is that we will not take over any debts, will not seek the support of the fans of Brøndby or Chester and will have no business plan to run the club in the future. However, we do have a loose internet community and have vast experience of dealing with club owners who also do not wish to engage with fans.
We put this website together to prove how easy it is to set up a professional looking website and to get people signed up, even if they know nothing about your club's history, don't care for the fans and could scribble their business plan on a napkin.
